Humanitarian Relief Operation for Earthquake Victims in Gorkha

GNN had been working in four VDCs of Gorkha, namely: Phinam, Aaruarbang, Thumi, and Lapu since May2014. When CDP activities were completing about one year in Gorkha, severe earthquakes hit Nepal with epicenter in Barpak area of the district. Soon after the shocking incident, GNN started humanitarian response in the affected area by offering food items such as noodles and biscuits to victims arriving in Gorkha Hospital on first day (25 April 2015) of the series of quakes. The support along with supply of various materials and recovery and reconstruction activities continues till date. A summary of the various activities being done to support the affected people have been presented below:
